Thank you to our members that
helped set up our trails on Saturday, November 5!
We will be cutting in a new trail along Hwy R. So if you can
not make the 9:00 start time please meet us along Hwy R south
of Hwy VV.
Please bring tools such as chain saw, Pruners, Brush Cutters etc to cut a new
trail in the woods along Hwy R. Also we intend on putting up trail signs so
bring along a hammer and power screw driver.
LLCK Meeting - October 8th, 10:00am
- The Legend Lake Lodge
It sure does feel like fall which means the snow
can’t be far behind. What a better way to get the season
underway than to attend the first LLCK meeting of the season on
October 8th. It will be held at the Legend Lake Lodge and begin
at 10am. During this meeting we will cover the normal club items
(dues, trail updates, etc.) as well as hold elections for four
positions. We may also need to do some trail work after the meeting
so if you’re available we could really use your help. More
information on trail work will follow later if needed.
Club
Officer Positions
Four positions are up for election:
Vice President
Secretary
Public Relations/Communications
Funding/Interclub Relations.

Friday December 3rd and Saturday December 4th, 2010
On Friday, the schedule is to get the signs ready
starting at noon at Roger Schmidt's house. If time allows, we
will place some of them on Friday as well. On Saturday, we will
meet at the Thunder Bird parking lot at 8:00 am. The goal is to
break into three groups and with enough volunteeres, we estimate
completion by noon.

Saturday, October 23, 2010 - Annual Election Meeting
The meeting will begin at 10am in the lodge and we
will be holding elections for the following positions: President,
Treasurer, Trail Manager and the Environmental/Natural Resources
position. (Also, please note that it is in our by-laws that
someone can be nominated at the meeting.) Each position is a two
year commitment. If you are interested in running for one
of these positions or would like further information on the posts
please let me know. You can reach me at falk@wi.rr.com
.
In addition to the elections, we will try to pass on any additional
membership information for the 2010-2011 season as well as any
additional trail updates.
Immediately following the annual meeting, we plan on finishing
any remaining trail clean-up as well as installing the trail signs
in order to be ready for when the snow flies.
Saturday, October 2, 2010 - Brush Clean Up
We will be having a workday (hopefully just a morning)
to clear the trails of any brush and any other obstacles.
This work is very valuable as it is needed in order for the groomer
to give us a great trail to use through the winter. We will
plan on meeting at the New Thunder Bird Store and Restaurant parking
lot at 8 am. If you are interested please let Dan Hedrich
know at dmhedrich76@yahoo.com.

January 29 through February 13, 2010
The Poker Run will be held over two weeks starting Friday, January 29th and ending on Saturday, February 13th with a party at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill in Shawano. Enclosed you will find the LLCK Poker Run directions and event form that you will need to have signed by each sponsor. Additional copies may be made if you chose to play more than one hand. We are planning a paddle wheel and a drawing for a wheel barrel of beverages as well. Reminder this is not a snowmobile event only; please feel free to go by any vehicle you choose. The important thing is to have fun and support our sponsors. This is an event that everyone should try to attend as it will occur rain (blizzard) or shine. Additional help is needed at the Poker Table and in conducting additional activities. To volunteer, please contact Rob Soik at rjsconsulting8369@att.net or call him at 920-883-1062 to offer your assistance.
Get out there, have fun and support our sponsors (by car if necessary)! The Poker Run concludes at 5pm at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill on Saturday, February 13th!
